Blog Stage Two

President Bush proposed a $3.1 billion budget for defense spending. We may be able to benefit from the increased national defense. But is now the time to be spending this money, when we are in a recession? The outcome of the budget will not be known until the next presidency, leaving the debt in the hands of the next president. Will this spending increase boost the economy, or will it have a devastating effect on the years to come? The motto of some is "Wish for peace prepare for war." Faced with these issues, one has to decide for oneself whether the proposed budget is worth the risk. Take a look at this web link.
